Offizielles DMOZ-Blog online
Nach langen Geburtswehen ist es jetzt online gegangen: das offizielle DMOZ-Blog.
Nachdem ich dort vergeblich nach einer Trackback-Funktion suchte, habe ich einen Blick in den Quellcode geworfen und bin erschüttert. Das Layout basiert doch tatsächlich auf Tabellen. Valides HTML ist es auch nicht; die Angaben zu Doctype und Character-Encoding fehlen - insgesamt findet der der Validator von W3C 56 Fehler.
Waaa!
Für das Layout kommt sogar die uralte Ein-Pixel-Grafik zum Einsatz. I can't believe it. 
Das ganze macht auf mich den Eindruck, als sei es eigens für diesen Zweck neu zusammengeschustert worden. Dass ein aktuelles CMS so einen Code erzeugt, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen.
Ach, hätten die Jungs doch einfach WordPress genommen oder einen Blogger-Account aufgemacht …
Nachtrag: Und wenn man den Feed abonniert, sieht man 3 (!) Beiträge, anstelle des einen, der im Blog selbst sichtbar ist. :-((

Die sind beide nicht im RSS Feed. Ich nehme an, daß Google die vorher schon gesehen hat, weil jemand (Du?) den Feed schon bei Google zugefügt hat bevor er “öffentlich” war. Zumindest das erste Posting sieht ja sehr nach Testvehikel aus, bei der Rechtschreibung…
BTW: Wenn ich das jetzt bei Google zufüge, sehe ich übrigens nur einen Eintrag.

DMOZ.org is a legacy Netscape application and is sometimes reffred to as the “Open Directory Project”.

www.dmoz.org (alias for dmoz.org) is the main URL for the public to access the directories and individual entries in the Open Directroy Project. It can recieve high traffic volume, sometime from web trawlers whose IP are added to the IPtables of the three squids (dust[01-03].netscape.com) serving as web caches/proxies. Requests for data not cached or cgi scrrripts go directly to the primary server. (currently dust.netscape.com, a single point of failure)

1. Find a category that you would like to maintain. 2. Also ich krieg nur einen Artikel im RSS, keine 3. Auch wenn ich mir den Feed “von Hand” anschaue ist da nur ein Posting.
Mich nervt allerdings, daß die keinen direkten Link zum RSS anbieten. Da ich den Link auf der blöden “Wählen Sie Ihren Online-Reader” Seite nicht gefunden habe, habe ich die URL halt von Hand erzeugt. Lästig.

Ich habe den Feed erst gestern hinzugefügt, über diese lustigen Buttons, die AOL da eingebaut hat.
